I am a PhD student in Digital Health Technologies at UCL. Before moving to London, I completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the University of Bristol, where I studied Biomedical Sciences and Digital Health, respectively. During my undergraduate studies, I specialised in physiology, pharmacology, and neuroscience, and for my final-year research project, I investigated the pathogenesis of Timothy Syndrome, focusing on how L-type calcium channel dysfunction may contribute to early afterdepolarisations in cardiomyocytes. My master’s project involved designing a non-invasive sweat sensor for the continuous monitoring of inflammatory biomarkers associated with osteoarthritis, which sparked my ongoing interest in wearable sensing technologies for diagnostics and disease monitoring. Outside of academia, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, surfing, and skiing, as well as playing the violin in symphony orchestras.

My research focuses on developing innovative biosensing technologies for the continuous and non-invasive monitoring of inflammatory conditions, particularly osteoarthritis. Building on my previous work exploring cytokine detection and the use of sweat as a biofluid for sensing applications, my PhD aims to design and validate a wearable sensor capable of real-time measurement of inflammatory biomarkers linked to osteoarthritic progression. Through this work, I hope to gain deeper insight into the inflammatory mechanisms underlying chronic joint disease and how these responses are influenced by factors such as activity, lifestyle, and diet. Ultimately, my goal is to enable more personalised approaches to osteoarthritis management by helping patients and clinicians better understand individual patterns of inflammation over time.
