I completed a MEng in Engineering Mathematics at the University of Bristol, including a year study abroad at the University of Rochester, USA. During a summer research internship and my final year, I worked closely with the Computational Neuroscience Unit (CNU) within my faculty, where I first learnt to apply my computational and mathematical skills to a biological context. For my master’s thesis, I incorporated anatomical data and bio-inspired constraints into deep learning models to create cortically-embedded neural networks. In my personal time I like to run, read, cook, and have recently taken up wood carving.

My primary research interests are in the diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, particularly those related to dementia. Specifically, I hope to gain further understanding in how digital health technologies, such as wearable devices and medical image processing, can be applied to the early diagnosis and personalised treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
