I am from Comber, Northern Ireland, and have been part of Ulster University since 2021. I completed a BEng in Biomedical Engineering, graduating in 2025 with First Class Honours and a Diploma in Professional Practice with Distinction. During my placement at Boston Scientific, I developed a strong interest in research and development and gained valuable industry experience.

I am passionate about digital health and believe emerging technologies can transform healthcare. My research interests include sensor technology and machine learning, particularly their potential to improve patient outcomes.

I am currently entering my second year of the CDT and plan to research Digital Solutions for Wound Care in the Community: Designing Novel Sensor Networks. My interest in this area was strengthened by spending three months with a company specialising in sensor technology, where I gained practical insight into sensor development and its potential healthcare applications.

Through my PhD research, I hope to explore how novel sensor networks and machine learning can enable more effective monitoring of chronic wounds in community settings. Ultimately, I aim to contribute to digital health technologies that support earlier intervention, improve patient outcomes and reduce pressure on healthcare services.

Outside of my academic and professional life, I enjoy travelling, going to the gym and dancing, which provide a balance to my research and allow me to maintain a broad range of interests.
