I’m based at the Hawkes Institute, in the Quantitative Imaging Group (QIG), working with colleagues from the UCL Dementia Research Centre (DRC) and my studentship is part funded by Siemens Healthineers.

Previously I studied Biomedical Engineering (BEng) at UCL. My third-year project was applying a self-supervised neural network to simulated diffusion MRI data of the blood-brain barrier.

My research focuses on methods development for resting-state fMRI for Alzheimer’s diagnosis. For my first project, I’m applying an existing method, using effective connectivity within the default-mode network, looking at diagnosing Alzheimer’s disease in a presymptomatic familial cohort, where the time to symptom is known from family history. The manuscript is in preparation. After that I’ll be looking at novel methods, including AI and potentially LLMs as part of the analysis. We will be using 2 longitudinal studies from the UCL DRC, the Familial Alzheimer’s Disease study (FAD) and Insight 46.

In my spare time I enjoy reading and running. I like tinkering with software, and recently I’ve been trying to running some local LLMs. I also am a novice at 3d printing, but haven’t designed my own models just yet.
